Perform With Us
Historically the majority of our emerging and early career artists were selected through an audition process. With a change in artistic leadership we have reviewed our approach to programming.
For our 2027/28 season and beyond, we will be opening up the opportunity to propose concerts without the need to have a formal audition. UK-based solo artists and duos without agents should complete the expression of interest form in order to be considered for our series.
Artist agents and managers should also complete an expression of interest form if proposing one artist. If proposing multiple artists at once, agents should contact us.
Ensembles of three or more musicians (maximum of 6) are programmed through our new Chamber Ensemble Prize.
Additional artists will appear in the series as the result of our partnership with the Terence Judd-Hallé Award and through selection by our Artistic Consultant.
All expressions of interest will be review during the periods in which programming is our focus. Artists may be selected for future seasons, and are encouraged to share relevant updates as their careers progress.
Chamber Ensemble Prize
Chamber ensembles of three or more musicians are invited to enter our new Chamber Ensemble Prize. Entry to the prize is online and finalists will perform in a live final in Manchester in early 2027.
Chamber groups for our 2027-28 season will be selected via this prize, as we continue to develop our support for emerging and early career artists, and create links with young composers.
Composition Prize
We’ll be launching our Composition Prize in early 2027. For postgraduate composers, and those within 3 years of graduating, the winning composer will write a new work for the winners of our Chamber Ensemble Prize.
