About the Friends of Manchester Midday Music
Manchester Midday Music is an independent charity that supports young musicians in the early stages of their careers. The Charity’s mission is to encourage emerging artists by offering prestigious performance opportunities as part of its quality, affordable daytime concert series at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester.
These aims are still being fulfilled over 100 years since its creation and this has only been possible due to the continued help of our invaluable Friends. Read on to find out how you can play an important part in ensuring that our concert series continues to encourage new talent and remains part of the musical landscape of Manchester.
Established over 25 years ago, the Friends of Manchester Midday Music are a family of supporters who help to ensure the future of the Manchester Midday Music. Our Friends care about the Charity’s mission, feel proud to support the musical heritage of the city, and are a group of people who enjoy coming to the Charity’s concert series, annual auditions and other events organised throughout the year.
Become a Friend of Manchester Midday Music
To become a Friend we ask for a minimum donation of just £50 per year, which can be paid annually, or divided throughout the year, beginning from as little as £4.17 per month.

- Provides young aspiring artists at the beginning of their music careers with a performance platform, audience and marketing exposure.
- Supports Manchester’s musical heritage – we have been supporting emerging and early career artists since 1915.
- Allows audiences to enjoy high quality musical experiences at an affordable price.

- Free concert vouchers (to be exchanged for a ticket to a Midday concert of your choice).
- A complimentary ticket to the annual Friends’ concert and reception.

- Recognition in the season brochure and on our website (if desired).

Bronze

Donate from £100 per year. For those wanting to give a little more to support our work

Gold
Donate from £300 per year. For those wishing to contribute to the costs of giving an opportunity to an emerging/early career artist

Platinum
Donate £1000+. For those wishing to sponsor a concert of an emerging/early career artist
- Four free concert vouchers per season.
- Two complimentary tickets to the annual Friends’ concert and reception.
- A Sponsored concert – your name in the season brochure, an acknowledgement in the concert day programme and on stage on the day of concert (if desired).
- Up to 15 free tickets for your sponsored concert.
