Esther Yang violin
Esther Yang is a violinist from the United States whose performances have gained international recognition across North America, Europe, and Asia. Known for her expressive musicality and sincere artistic voice, she has earned distinctions in several prestigious international competitions. She was a semi-finalist in both the 2023 Premio Paganini Competition and the 2024 Windsor Festival International Competition, and received Third Prize at the Ysaÿe International Competition. She was awarded the Manfred Grommek-Förderpreis at the Kronberg Academy Violin & Viola Masterclasses.
She has appeared as a soloist with international orchestras, and notable performances have taken place in major venues around the world.
With a passion for chamber music, she has received chamber music guidance from distinguished artists including Corina Belcea, Samuel Rhodes, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Joseph Lin, Natasha Brofsky, Daniel Phillips, Paul Neubauer, Merry Peckham, Carol Rodland, Darrett Adkins, and Mai Motobuchi.
Esther earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the New England Conservatory and completed her Master of Music degree at The Juilliard School as a student of Joseph Lin’s. She is currently an Artist-in-Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel under the mentorship of Augustin Dumay.
Esther will be accompanied by Yannick Rafalimanana.
