The Lyons Mouth

The Lyons Mouth is a dynamic vocal consort of young professional singers, acclaimed for emotionally charged performances and imaginative programming. Founded in 2022 by musicians from the University of York under Robert Hollingworth (I Fagiolini), the group places drama and storytelling at the heart of vocal music.
Since its formation, The Lyons Mouth has quickly established itself across the UK and Europe. Its members also perform with ensembles, shaping a versatile style that combines refinement with daring energy. Their concerts span Renaissance madrigals, Baroque masterpieces, and bold new works, often presented with theatrical flair.
Their acclaimed performance films on YouTube include Young Again and Monteverdi’s Lamento d’Arianna, and their work features on Joanna Marsh’s A Plastic Theatre (Signum, 2025). A new album of Stef Conner’s folk music arrangements will be released in 2026.
